John,

This week, our opponent Ryan Zinke spoke at the ND Petroleum Council and suggested we become “stewards of our own land,” and we know what that means — selling them off for oil and gas extraction.

What’s worse, Trump’s former Secretary of the Interior then went on Twitter to lie to Montanans, claiming he would “NEVER sell or transfer” our public lands — “never have, never will.” But we have the receipts:

Zinke made a name for himself under Trump by selling off public lands, allowing offshore oil drilling, and rolling back environmental protections while he was Interior Secretary. Now, he’s trying to cover his tracks and protect his political career as he runs for Montana’s new congressional seat.

Zinke is trying to make you forget his disastrous record, but we will hold him accountable.

Montanans deserve a leader they can trust, who’s truly committed to protecting our public lands and has the track record to prove it. With your help, I will be that leader come November 2022.

But right now, we’re just five days away from our campaign’s very first FEC fundraising deadline, a major test that will show everyone how strong our grassroots movement is.

Can you rush a donation of $5 or whatever you can to help us reach our goal so I can continue to hold Zinke accountable and beat him at the ballot box?

Thanks for having my back. Together, we will keep our public lands in public hands for generations to come.

— Laurie
