Yesterday, in a historic vote, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA), which would protect the right to abortion throughout the United States should Roe v. Wade fall. This victory would not have been possible without the generous support of NARAL members, like you John. On December 1st, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, a case that directly challenges Roe v. Wade. There is no path to uphold Mississippi’s abortion ban without overturning Roe’s protections. With an anti-choice supermajority on the Supreme Court, the threat to the constitutional right to abortion is real and imminent that’s why it’s more important than ever that we pass WHPA to protect the right to abortion throughout the United States.
