Here’s what we know: Abortion rights and access to the full range of reproductive care are at risk as the conservative-stacked Supreme Court prepares to take up a case that could overturn Roe v. Wade. If that happens, 11 states already have “trigger” laws that would automatically ban all or nearly all abortions — and make no mistake, Republican legislatures in other states will be ready to pass their own restrictive laws.

Here’s what we need to do about it: Elect strong reproductive justice advocates like Val to codify Roe v. Wade into federal law and protect and expand access to reproductive care. We need to set our sights on states like Pennsylvania that we know we can win — it’s the only open U.S. Senate seat in a state where President Biden won, and nearly every major news outlet is calling it a toss-up.

Here’s what we’re asking you, John: That’s why we’re reaching out: Will you pitch in any amount ahead of our end-of-quarter deadline to send Val to the U.S. Senate to defend reproductive justice?

Here’s why Val is the best person to send to Washington to defend reproductive rights:

-As a doctor, Val sat with women as they made decisions about their pregnancies and knows how important it is to keep those choices between patients and their doctors.

-As a national physician advocate for the Affordable Care Act, Val helped pass the law, which made birth control more available and affordable.

-And as a U.S. Senator, she’d continue her fight to defend reproductive rights. She’d be the first woman physician in the U.S. Senate, and it couldn’t come at a more crucial time.

John, too much is on the line for us to sit this one out. Please, chip in before our end-of-quarter deadline to help elect a champion for reproductive rights to the Senate.
