Yesterday, the House took a historic step and passed the Women’s Health Protection Act — Rep Judy Chu and Ayanna’s urgent bill to codify Roe v. Wade in federal law and guarantee every person’s right to access safe and legal abortion.
Affirming every person’s right to the full range of reproductive care services has never been more urgent.
Over the last decade, we’ve seen more than 500 abortion bans pushed through state legislatures — including the recent, draconian law in Texas.
Now, the Supreme Court is gearing up to reconsider Roe v. Wade this December, and it’s clear that the Court is not on the people’s side.
That’s why Ayanna is urging Senate Majority Leader Schumer and President Biden to swiftly enact the Women’s Health Protection Act — but we need to leverage the full power of our movement to get this done.
Ayanna won’t stop fighting until we guarantee every person’s right to reproductive care — and we can’t stop fighting either.
