You can draw a straight line connecting the January 6 insurrection and Republican lies about "election fraud" to voter suppression and gerrymandering. These are all ways to sow discord and chip away at our democracy -- in a desperate attempt to hang on to political power.
And if we don't fight with everything we have, these tactics could work.

- GOP Congress members have refused to investigate the January 6 insurrection, and some are even lying about what happened that day.
- Republicans who repeat Donald Trump's Big Lie are running for offices that would give them control over elections.
- At least 18 states have passed at least 30 laws in 2021 to restrict who can vote and how.
- And in states like Texas and Ohio -- with more to come -- Republicans have brazenly proposed manipulated maps!
