Friend: The coordinated, Republican-led attempts to make it more difficult to vote are unconscionable. Across the country – Georgia, Florida, Texas, Arizona, even here in Michigan – more than 400 pieces of legislation have been introduced to restrict voting rights. Dozens have gone into effect, and if left unchallenged, will potentially shut millions of Americans out of accessing the ballot box.
I'm calling it how I see it, friend: Dissatisfied with major losses last year, Republicans resorted not to fighting fairly, but to tactics that go against the very foundation of our democracy.
That's right. Democrats mobilized by the millions to win back the Senate majority, protect the House and elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Now, the GOP is resorting to anti-democratic tactics to thwart those efforts from ever happening again. That means we must fight twice as hard to compete, win and protect our majorities in Congress.
What we do in moments like this is crucial, which is why I've set an emergency goal to raise $30,000 to defend the Senate majority. We are approaching a major public reporting FEC deadline, so it's so important we show our movement has the resources to compete against the GOP. Can I count on your donation today?
I am counting on everyone who is reading this email to dig deep and make a grassroots contribution of $5 – or whatever you can spare – before our midnight deadline. Every dollar you give will help us defend our Democratic Senate majority.

Remember, friend, our 50-50 majority is as thin as it gets: If Democrats come up short by just one seat, Mitch McConnell retakes the majority and pushes forward an extremist, anti-democratic agenda. And he's already raising massive amounts of money – $28 million in the last few months alone – to flip the Senate back into his control. Your donation today ensures Democrats have the resources to keep that from happening.
Thanks for doing your part.
Gary
