Trump puppet Ron DeSantis is asking Florida's appeals court to block the complaints of school boards who want to protect their students and mandate masks. Even as COVID-19 cases rise in Florida, DeSantis has made it clear he does not value Floridian lives.
Ron DeSantis is playing political games while children's lives hang in the balance. GOP lawmakers across the country are protecting themselves by getting the vaccine, while fighting against mask mandates and vaccination efforts. They are willing to risk their constituents' lives as they continue to protect themselves. It's hypocritical and disgusting.
John, the good news is that we have a progressive woman already fighting back. Nikki Fried is running a strong campaign to defeat DeSantis in 2022. She won a tough race in 2018 to become Florida's Agriculture Commissioner and with our support, she will win another tough race against DeSantis in 2022.
