** Introducing our Candidate Award Winners
------------------------------------------------------------

Over the past week, Morris County Young Democrats from Butler to Long Hill and from Washington Township to Montville have been casting their votes to determine our 2021 Candidate Award Winners.

While the MCYD supports and endorses ALL Democrats, particularly Young Democrats, we're a small group with limited resources. So this year, we made the decision to award $500 each to 4 candidates voted on and selected by the voting members of MCYD.

Today, we're happy to announce those winners.

T.C. McCourt is seeking to be the first Democrat ever elected to the Morris County Board of County Commissioners, the first openly gay person elected countywide in Morris County, and one of the youngest countywide elected officials in New Jersey history.

Find out more about his campaign at www.tcmccourt.com!

Mayor Michael Soriano is seeking a second term as Mayor of Parsippany, Morris County's largest municipality. His running mates, Cori Herbig and Judy Hernandez, seek to join him on Town Council and maintain its current partisan makeup of 3R-2D.

Deputy Mayor Mark Gyorfy is seeking a second term on the Morris Township Committee following a breakout win in 2018.

At 29, he is the youngest Democrat currently holding a partisan office in Morris County.

Alderman Adrian Ballesteros is seeking a second term representing Dover's Third Ward on the Board of Alderman. He is one of the youngest elected officials in Morris County and is an advocate for the young residents of not just his Ward, but the entire Town of Dover.

Thank you to all of the candidates who applied and to all of the MCYD members who participated in the vote.

Let us say again that we support ALL Democrats running in Morris County, and encourage you to do the same.

Donate, volunteer, vote, do everything you can to help expand our numbers in elected office in Morris County. We can be the change we seek, but we have to get out there and make it happen!

There are just FIVE TUESDAYS left before election day. Let's do this, folks!
