Africa & Europe
Pray as the IJM Ghana team launches a project to pilot a foster care program for victims of trafficking. Until now, all children rescued from trafficking in the fishing industry have been placed in care homes until they are able to be safely reintegrated with their families and communities. This process can sometimes take several years, and some children do not have a safe place to return. The best place for a child is in a safe family, and foster care is an internationally recognized best practice to provide care. Please pray as we select the families who will love and care for these children, and pray for the team as they identify the children who will most benefit from this program.
Latin America
Please pray for the physical, emotional and spiritual health of our teams across Latin America. Due to COVID-19, several members of our team have lost loved ones or have loved ones currently hospitalized. Pray for strength for caregivers and comfort for those who are lamenting the loss of family and friends.
South Asia
Pray for our leadership and strategy teams as they map out where IJM could expand over the next 10 years. We have seen great success alongside our government partners in a few key states, and now we are hoping to expand more broadly to rescue and protect millions more children, women and men. Pray for wisdom and discernment for our leaders as they chart the path forward, and pray that God would go before IJM as we seek justice in critical new places.
Southeast Asia
Please continue to pray for our IJM Myanmar team as they face difficulties due to political unrest and COVID-19. Pray for protection, comfort and provision for our staff, their clients and the people of Myanmar. Specifically, please pray for funds from IJM Global to smoothly transfer to IJM Myanmar, as any delays will impact our program work and salaries for our staff.
