Friend,
Coca-Cola holds the title of world's worst plastic polluter -- and has done so for the past three years in a row.
That's according to an annual audit by the nonprofit Break Free From Plastic. Coca-Cola's plastic bottles were the most frequently found littering 51 out of the 55 beaches, rivers, parks and other sites surveyed -- worse than the next two biggest plastic waste culprits combined.[1]
What would make your next Coke taste even more refreshing? Knowing that the company was actually working to reduce its plastic pollution.

In February, Coca-Cola announced it would start using bottles made from 100% recycled plastic in certain parts of the country -- a move that it says will account for a 20% reduction in the company's use of new plastic in North America.[2]
This is a good first step, but falls short of truly helping to tackle the problem of plastic waste -- and can even perpetuate the continued use of disposable plastic. How?
Recycled plastic bottles are often made from new plastic bottles -- and due to the way plastic degrades during the recycling process, they often can't be recycled into new bottles again. That means that recycled plastic bottles eventually just become more plastic waste filling landfills and littering our communities, parks and beaches.[3]
To address our plastic waste crisis, we need companies like Coca-Cola to reject the business model that created our crisis in the first place, reduce their use of plastic packaging, and embrace reuse and refill solutions instead.
Tell Coca-Cola: Reduce your use of single-use plastics.

Major brands such as Coca-Cola have the ability to spark industry-wide change and help move our nation toward a system that rewards companies for reducing waste and creating reusable alternatives.[4]
It's time that they use their power to turn the tide on plastic waste.
Call on Coca-Cola to reduce its use of single-use plastic packaging today.
