John,

When you pray at your local 40 Days for Life vigil, you might see a powerful response to your prayers.

Or you might not...at least immediately.

But behind the scenes, your prayers ALWAYS take a massive toll on the abortion business.

On this week's episode of The 40 Days for Life Podcast, we discuss 4 ways your prayers impact the abortion facility. Tune in by visiting:

Your prayers have helped close 114 abortion facilities...

...and not only in conservative areas, "red states" or the Bible Belt. Just this year, we've seen abortion facilities go out of business in abortion-friendly cities like Chicago, London, and...just outside of Seattle!

We might be able to add to the list of closed abortion facilities soon!

40 Days for Life Campaign Director Steve Karlen visited kickoff events in Oklahoma, where multiple abortion businesses appear to be on the brink. Here's Steve's report from the road:

Norman, Oklahoma

The day before Steve arrived at Norman, vigil participants found the abortion facility unexpectedly closed.

It appears the abortion doctor has retired...and has not yet found anyone interested in taking over his business.

"These doors are closed," Steve told kickoff rally attendees. "But that doesn't mean our work is over. Today we dedicate this campaign to making sure these doors NEVER re-open."

A strong vigil this fall will certainly make the abortion practice much less attractive to potential buyers.

Edmond, Oklahoma

Norman's wasn't the only abortion business found unexpectedly closed.

The Edmond Planned Parenthood abortion referral center recently moved out of its building. Vigil participants are hoping and praying that this closure proves to be permanent.

For now, one thing is certain: Planned Parenthood does not have a facility in Edmond. That turned the campaign's kickoff event into a celebration!

Mike, the Edmond leader, is now rallying his volunteer base to participate in the Oklahoma City campaign.

Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”

— Luke 1:30-33

Heavenly Father, you have made the womb of each woman a very special place. Help us to hold fast to the sanctity of this first home of humanity, remembering the wonderful mystery, that God inhabited the womb of a young woman and came forth as the savior and deliverer of the world.
