Dear New Jerseyan,

On September 1st, the remnants of Hurricane Ida brought historic rain and flooding to New Jersey, causing widespread devastation to our communities, homes, and businesses. Since then I’ve been inspired by the stories of neighbors helping neighbors and communities rallying around affected residents.

We know that recovery from disasters of this magnitude does not happen overnight, and that is why I am committed to working with you every step of the way. As part of the ongoing relief efforts, my office has dedicated a website page to sharing important information as well as state and federal resources available to those impacted by the storm: booker.senate.gov/ida.

FEMA has issued Major Disaster Declarations for 12 counties so far, unlocking even more federal assistance — you can learn tips on how to apply for it on our site, along with guidance on tax and mortgage relief. We will regularly update this page as additional information and resources become available; in the meantime, my office also stands ready to assist you and your loved ones in any way possible.

So please, if you need help do not hesitate to go to booker.senate.gov/ida to learn more. Together we will recover from this storm.

Sincerely,

Signature

United States Senator
