The Week in Review
Happy Friday!
This week, I headed back to DC for a full week of votes, hearings, and debates. Read below to learn about the important happenings on Capitol Hill:
Defending the Right to Life
Today, the Democrats used their majority in the United States House of Representatives to pass pernicious legislation that attacks and kills the unborn. And when given the chance, they voted to make sure babies born alive during an abortion can also be murdered. This sickness permeates their drive to assault all human rights, but especially their craven desire to kill the unborn and newly born. Check out my full video below:
Freedom From Mandates Act
Today, I introduced the Freedom from Mandates Act to block President Biden’s vaccine mandates. I’ve heard from countless constituents who want to maintain their health freedom, but are concerned about the consequences of refusing to get vaccinated. The federal government may not force the American people to get a vaccine against their will. President Biden’s continued attempts to trample on the rights and liberties of Americans must not be tolerated. I am grateful that 21 of my colleagues have cosponsored my bill: Congressman Thomas Massie, Congressman Matt Rosendale, Congressman Jeff Duncan, Congressman Jody Hice, Congressman Bob Good, Congressman Louie Gohmert, Congressman Mo Brooks, Congressman Van Taylor, Congressman Jason Smith, Congressman Randy Weber, Congressman Michael Cloud, Congressman Bill Posey, Congresswoman Debbie Lesko, Congressman Tom McClintock, Congressman Dan Bishop, Congressman Chip Roy, Congressman Andy Harris, Congresswoman Mary Miller, Congressman Alex Mooney, Congressman Ralph Norman, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert

Impeach President Biden
I joined Congresswoman Lauren Boebert in filing articles of impeachment against President Biden. Impeaching President Biden is the right thing to do. He has endangered our country and willfully violated his oath of office. Furthermore, he has violated and ignored statutes (and instructed his Administration to do the same), committed high crimes and misdemeanors, and is all-together unfit to continue his role as President of the United States. Biden's Border Crisis
Last week, I led a group of members on a trip to the Tucson Sector of the Arizona border. We met with ranchers whose properties are impacted by illegal immigration, local law enforcement who work to stem the flow of illegal aliens and drugs crossing through their counties, and Border Patrol agents who work each day to secure our border. It’s no surprise that they all have been negatively impacted by Biden’s open border policies. The Biden administration needs to reinstate the Remain in Mexico program as it has been ordered to do by a court, allow ICE to enforce immigration law, and work with Congress to close the loopholes that serve as a pull factor for illegal immigration. Check out my video below recounting my thoughts on the Biden Administration's handling of the crisis:
National Defense Authorization Act
I voted no on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). I have the utmost respect for the men and women who bravely serve in the American military. However, Biden and the Democrats have worked overtime to pump the NDAA with policies that weaken our military’s fortitude and inject woke ideals into its culture. Furthermore, Congress should not be handing over billions of dollars to military leaders who take zero responsibility for their disastrous decisions and give unfettered power to America’s enemies. Check out my full thoughts below:
Interview with Harris Faulkner
On Tuesday, I joined Harris Faulkner on The Faulkner Focus to discuss the worsening conditions and illegal alien encampment in Del Rio, TX. The Biden Administration continues with its lies that the “border is closed” and refuses to take accountability for incentivizing illegal crossings. Click on the photo below to watch my interview:
REMAIN in Mexico Program
Along with my colleague Rep. Matt Rosendale, I introduced a resolution to force the House of Representatives to consider H.R. 1259, the REMAIN in Mexico Act of 2021. H.R. 1259 requires the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to implement the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), otherwise known as the Remain in Mexico Program. MPP was a successful program established by President Trump to secure our border and discourage illegal immigration. In August, DHS was ordered by Judge Kacsmaryk of the Northern District of Texas to “enforce and implement MPP in good faith[.]” However, DHS has yet to reimplement MPP despite Judge Kacsmaryk’s order. Support For Israel
At a time when the Middle East is in constant turmoil, the United States needs strong allies like Israel. Allies who are stable, dependent, and a force for good in the region. For nearly 75 years, Israel has been a constant and stable ally in a region devoid of stability. With the rise of Iran, the Taliban, and China’s growing influence in the region, the United States and Israel must continue to stand together against these tyrannical regimes. Vetting Afghan Refugees
Congressman Tom Tiffany and I sent a letter to President Biden requesting information on the number and whereabouts of Afghan evacuees amid new charges of sex crimes and spousal abuse against two evacuees. President Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan created a humanitarian crisis that led to thousands of Afghan nationals being brought to the United States in a chaotic manner with little, if any, vetting. The sexual assaults and other crimes being perpetrated by evacuees on our military bases could have been avoided if proper vetting had occurred. Congress and the American people deserve answers about the administration’s actions and its plans to keep our communities safe. Click below to see the letter:
Democrats’ Continued Push for Amnesty
In yet another attempt to provide amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, Democrats included amnesty provisions in their $3.5 trillion reconciliation package that aims to grow the social welfare state. But this week, the Senate Parliamentarian reached the common sense conclusion that amnesty cannot be included in the bill. But it still begs the question, why was it a point of contention in the first place given the dangerous state of our border? Instead of passing amnesty, Democrats need to focus on removing incentives for illegal immigration and abandon their 'America Last' agenda. It’s time to close loopholes that are being exploited and bring back President Trump’s effective policies that safe-guarded and strengthened our border.
