Dear Friends,
Whether at home in Orange County or working for you in Washington, D.C., my priorities remain the same: to Keep America strong for our children and for generations to come. As we continue to weather the pandemic, we must not forget the essential workers who have kept our economy going. Many of these workers are immigrants who still see America as a shining City on a Hill. The trials our immigrant communities have been facing have existed for many generations. And, the pandemic has shown us that America's undocumented workers have kept us alive. They have risked their health to serve our communities.
Together we must continue the fight to protect the rights of those that have earned the opportunity to become Americans. Instead of chipping away at immigration opportunities, we must build more robust protections for our brothers and sisters and develop a modernized plan that provides a pathway to citizenship. These reforms to our immigration system are long overdue and necessary.
I’ll continue to work with my colleagues to find a compromise with both Democrats and Republicans to address the many needs of our great Country. Without you, I could not do this work. That’s why central Orange County remains the focus of my work to build our community and support you and your families.
