Help Us Find Our 2020 Award Recipients
For more than a decade, we have celebrated the compassionate, bold, and brave abortion providers who live among us and work to make their patients’ lives better. These honors have been bestowed in memory of two of our late board members, Dr. William K. Rashbaum and Dr. George Tiller.
We need your help finding our 2020 award recipients . Please nominate physicians who you believe have the qualities these doctors embodied in their lives and work.
As an organization dedicated to equity and justice, we aim to recognize physicians of color for their vital contributions to this field. We also value nominees who practice in areas most affected by anti-abortion policies and who represent diversity in experience.
About the Awards
The William K. Rashbaum, MD, Award is a lifetime achievement award honoring a physician who has provided abortions and served as a mentor for their colleagues, residents, and medical students. The George Tiller, MD, Award honors a physician who, although in the early stages of their career, has taken significant and courageous action to protect and expand access to abortion in their state or nationally. Awardees are current abortion providers, and have overcome opposition to remain public advocates for reproductive health.
