In less than a week, my campaign is facing our end-of-quarter public fundraising deadline, and I’m about to ask you to chip in to help us keep Nevada blue in 2022 [[link removed]] -- but first, I want to talk to you about what's motivating me in this race.

When I was young I started swimming and would go to practice every day after school because it was the one sport where my mom could drop off all 8 of her children at once.

I later became a distance swimmer, and my dedication to the sport taught me real-world lessons about grit, determination, and perseverance.

Those lessons still stick with me today.

It took grit when I ran for Congress in the most competitive district in Nevada to fight for hardworking families -- and with the help of this team, we won.

It takes determination to wake up every day and go to Washington to fight for the things that matter to my constituents, and fulfill my promise to bring a bipartisan, productive approach to Congress.

And now, it’s going to take perseverance to defend NV-03 in 2022. In order to win this fight and keep Nevada blue, I need the support of this team to help me build a solid foundation for this critically important race.

National Republicans have already spent over a million dollars to unseat me -- and if any of my five Republican opponents win NV-03, they will do everything they can to stop legislation that will improve the lives of all Nevadans.

Maybe it’s the former athlete in me, but I’m not afraid of a little competition.

I’m going to keep fighting each and every day to improve the quality of our public education, protect our environment against climate change, and make health care affordable and accessible to every American.

My Republican opponents would love nothing more than for us to miss our goal for this public FEC fundraising deadline, which is why I want to make this our strongest quarter to date. Will you make a contribution and help us knock our fundraising goal out of the park? [[link removed]]
