In states with Republican governors and GOP-controlled legislatures, we see a full-throated attack on reproductive and voting rights. And on top of their attacks on our basic rights as Americans, they’re working harder than ever to take advantage of a critical once-a-decade process — the reapportionment and redrawing of our congressional districts.

GOP-controlled legislatures are drawing districts to tilt right in their favor, and if their tactic works, it’ll be that much easier for them to take back the House.

This end-of-quarter deadline is our most important one of the cycle. It comes after three months of relentless Republican attacks on our fundamental rights.

What we bring in the door by September 30th signals to the GOP machine whether Democrats have the strength to keep our majorities in Congress. Republicans need to flip just five seats to turn the House red.
