John, since January, there have been over 561 abortion restrictions, including 165 abortion bans, introduced across 47 states.
As an organization run by three young women, we aren’t going to mince our words here: This is complete and utter bullshit.
We watched in horror earlier this month as the Supreme Court refused to block the most restrictive abortion law in the country banning Texas abortions after 6 weeks of pregnancy.
And recently, it was announced that in December, the Supreme Court will hear a Mississippi abortion case determining if the state can legally ban abortions after 15 weeks.
This is not the will of the people. And this shouldn’t be up for debate.
Politicians shouldn’t be the ones deciding what people do with their bodies. And it’s not surprising that those harmed the most by these restrictive abortion laws are people who have low incomes, live in rural areas, and people of color.
After decades of far-right extremists working relentlessly to overturn Roe v. Wade, marginalized folks are at the greatest risk if these conservatives succeed.
