We cannot count on Henry Cuellar to do the right thing.
Last week, we were wondering whether Cuellar would support the Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA) or would he once again side with Republicans? Here’s an update on how he voted.
The House of Representatives just passed the WHPA, which will protect the access to abortion care for all Americans. And to no surprise, Henry Cuellar was the ONLY Democrat to side with the Republicans and vote against this bill.
Once again, Cuellar refuses to stand up for South Texans’ reproductive freedom and constitutional right to abortion. We cannot count on Henry Cuellar to do the right thing. This is the moment we need your support to unseat Cuellar and protect our right to reproductive health care. We set an ambitious goal of raising $17,000 by the end of the month so we can fight back.
There is no longer any confusion as to where Cuellar stands. Even after Texas’ Republican leaders just passed the country’s most extreme ban — ending almost all abortion access with no exceptions after 6 weeks — our Congressman refuses to defend us and our reproductive rights.
This is our opportunity to replace the last anti-choice Democrat in the House with a pro-choice Democrat — but to beat Henry Cuellar we need to hit our goal by the end of the month.
