I’m taking some time away from fundraising calls to write this email.
I just checked ActBlue, and we’re short $2,458 of today’s fundraising goal.

This race is urgent.
I’m running against the 13th most conservative Democrat in the House, who posts pictures of himself with Boris Johnson while the world burns.
There’s so much flooding all over the world that you can’t keep up: every time you check the news, there’s fatal flooding somewhere new.
Over 1,000 people died in the Pacific Northwest heat wave, and 1 billion sea animals were boiled to death.
What the world needs now is ACTION on climate change. If we do nothing, the planet will heat up 5-10 degrees Fahrenheit by the end of this century.
Can you donate $11 now to help me fight for the climate in Congress?
The good news is that we can stop the worst if we change our climate change policies now. This isn’t the time for incrementalism or business as usual.
It’s the time for ending the fossil fuel industry, subsidizing renewable energy, prosecuting the oil companies who caused this crisis, and transitioning to a sustainable economy. Immediately. It’s time for the Green New Deal.
Unfortunately, business as usual is what the establishment wants. That’s why the corporate establishment and corporate media blocked and ignored this campaign last time and why they are this time, too.
Running for Congress against a corporate Chevron Democrat isn’t easy, but it’s worth the fight. I don’t have oil companies giving me money, but I don’t want them. I’m happy with my grassroots supporters like you. Thank you for making this campaign possible.
I will not sell you out when I’m in Congress. I will stay true to my principles.
It’s normal to feel despair about the climate crisis, but we can’t stay there. We must take action and we can. We can keep our planet beautiful and habitable for young people today, tomorrow, and beyond.
