For the first time ever, we have a pro-choice majority in Congress — and we must turn that into progress.
Today, the people’s House passed the Women’s Health Protection Act, legislation I’m proud to co-lead.
With the passage of this critical legislation, we are one step closer to affirming that abortion rights are human rights and codifying the right to abortion care in our nation.
Over the last decade we’ve seen more than 500 abortion bans pushed through state legislatures — including the recent, draconian law in Texas.
These bans are cruel and callous. They put safe, essential care out of reach for millions, specifically for our low-income, queer, and trans siblings, and Black, Brown, AAPI, and Indigenous people.
Now I’m calling on Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and President Biden to quickly advance this bill in the Senate and sign it into law. For the first time ever, we have a pro-choice majority in Congress, and we must turn that into progress.
If you agree, join me and show your support for the Women’s Health Protection Act by making a $3 contribution now to our movement to advance reproductive justice and affirm abortion rights as a human right.
Contribute $3
The Supreme Court had the opportunity to call Texas’ SB 8 what it is: a blatant violation of the constitutional rights of nearly 7 million Texans that turned back the clock on reproductive rights by 50 years.
It is clear that the Courts are not on the people’s side — but this pro-choice majority Congress is. We are legislating as though people’s lives depend on it, because they do.
Every day that passes without the Women’s Health Protection Act becoming law, more and more people are denied their constitutional right to medical care.
Make a $3 contribution to our movement today and send a message to Senate Leader Schumer and President Biden right now that the time to affirm abortion rights is now.
I want to thank the grassroots organizers and advocates who have for decades organized, mobilized, and fought back against these attacks on liberty, our humanity, and our bodily autonomy.
I am so proud to be in this urgent fight alongside you.
Thank you,
Ayanna
