Since the start of the pandemic, the wealthiest 708 Americans increased their wealth by $1.8 trillion. That’s more than the cost of President Biden’s entire COVID-19 relief bill.
And yet Republicans are saying that we can’t afford Biden’s $3.5 trillion reconciliation package.
That’s hogwash … but the mainstream media is too infatuated with their phony idea of “balance” to call out this lie.
That’s why Inequality Media has launched an urgent effort to go around the mainstream media and make sure the American people know the truth.
Our strategy is working. We’ve built a massive following across every possible social media platform, from YouTube to TikTok, and our research shows that our videos and explainers are especially effective with independents and young people.
Will you make a donation to help us keep producing the most effective videos and explainers to call out the Republicans’ lies and build support for taxing the rich? [[link removed]]
Jeff Bezos’ wealth increased by $8.4 billion in one day this summer. Meanwhile, our tax code allowed him to pay zero federal income tax in 2007 and 2011.
Elon Musk’s $138 billion in pandemic wealth gains could cover the cost of tuition for $5.5 million community college students AND feed 29 million low-income public school kids … with $4 billion to spare.
But flip on any news show discussing President Biden’s budget plan, and the first question you’re likely to hear is “How are you going to pay for it?”
John, I’m simply not interested in hearing what this country can or cannot pay for when the system enables Jeff Bezos to rake in about $149,353 every minute while paying next to nothing in income taxes.
We’ve done the math on how we can fund the $3.5 trillion reconciliation package by taxing the rich. Our video showing that we could raise nearly double the cost of the reconciliation bill by repealing the Trump tax cuts and closing other loopholes has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.
But with the Democrats’ bold reconciliation package teetering on the brink, we need to go bigger right now. We can’t count on the mainstream media to counter the Republicans’ lies. That’s why we’re using social media to go around them.
Will you donate to Inequality Media and help us set the record straight? It’s time to tax the rich. Now. [[link removed]]
