Team, my golden rule comes from one of my favorite fellow Arkansans, Maya Angelou. She wrote, “When people show you who they are, believe them the first time.”

Republicans in our state have shown us who they are time and time again. While our teachers are underpaid, infrastructure is crumbling, and families lack access to health care -- Republicans continue to pass tax cuts for the wealthy and ignore the challenges working Arkansans face.

It feels as though time and time again, we’re handing out redos to our Republican leadership for another chance to get things right. And time and time again, they’ve proven that they’d rather put politics ahead of progress for our state.

So I’m running for Governor, and here’s who I am…

I’m a dad of three beautiful girls, a husband to an Emergency Room doctor, a NASA and MIT alum, and a proud graduate of HBCU Morehouse College.

I believe that we need a governor that leads with science to defeat the pandemic. I believe that we should uplift rural communities by revitalizing our infrastrastructure, including broadband access. I believe that we should make health care more affordable and accessible for every Arkansan.

This may seem simple, but these changes would be game changing for communities across Arkansas. Communities just like mine, with kids just like mine, who have the talent and the potential to do great things if given the opportunity.

And my likely Republican opponent, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, has shown us that it’s going to take a movement to get it done.

So I’m asking you to join me in this movement to create a stronger, more equal Arkansas. Let’s believe them, and show them that we’re a campaign fighting to demand change. Can you chip in to be an early supporter of our end-of-quarter goal and help grow this movement to bring positive change to Arkansas?
