John,
Can we chat? It might get a little technical, I hope that's okay.
Every cycle, congressional campaigns are required to report their fundraising numbers to the Federal Elections Commission (FEC). At the end of every quarter, Alison (our Finance Director) and I are responsible for reporting how much our campaign has raised, [[link removed]] who contributed, and how much we've spent.
There are only eight quarters in every election cycle and two have already come and gone. When our reports get published by the FEC, everyone -- from unions and progressive organizations to national leaders and even folks like you, John -- get to see how competitive our campaign is. It really, really matters.
On September 30th, the third quarter of 2021 ends. As it stands, with only six days left to reach our goal, we're $35,709 short. I'm counting on you folks like you chipping in whatever you can to help close the gap -- even if it's just $5. Can you help?

If we're finally going to flip the 1st blue, once and for all, we're going to need everyone's help.
That means bringing labor unions into our camp, winning the endorsement of progressive organizations, and most importantly: showing voters that we're not running to fall short at the finish line, we're running to win.
What we raise this quarter will have an impact on our ability to bring allies into our campaign and I'm relying on grassroots activists like you, John, chipping in a little today to make it not just possible but probable.
Please, if you're in a spot to help right now, chip in $5, $10, or whatever you can to help reach our end-of-quarter goal and set our campaign up for success.
