This week, Mrs. Laura Bush was awarded the 2021 Concordia Leadership Award for her inspirational work toward the causes of freedom and women’s rights around the globe at the 2021 Concordia Annual Summit. Also during the summit, Bush Institute Executive Director Holly Kuzmich led a panel discussion on the latest achievements by the Go Further <[link removed]> public-private partnership to save lives from cervical cancer in sub-Saharan Africa.

VETERAN LEADERSHIP PROGRAM | Lessons From General James Mattis
Last month, the 2021 Stand-To Veteran Leadership Program convened in Dallas for its third module, focused on vision and communication in leadership. Secretary Robert McDonald, the Bush Institute April and Jay Graham Fellow, moderated a conversation with General James Mattis, former U.S. Secretary of Defense, in which he provided our Scholars with valuable lessons on leadership.
