Allies,

Today, the U.S. House of Representatives took a critical step in
protecting abortion access across the country with an historic vote to
pass the Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA).

This marks the first time the House has ever passed proactive
legislation specifically designed to protect abortion rights, and we
are so grateful for our champions in Congress who took a stand for
reproductive rights.

Now, we need the Senate to do the same. Will you contact your Senators
today to ask them to vote YES on WHPA?

The bill creates a new legal protection for abortion providers to
provide care, and for their patients to receive care, free from
medically unnecessary restrictions and outright abortion bans. In
doing so, the bill protects against restrictions like waiting periods,
biased counseling, and pre-viability bans like the one in Texas, as
well as the Mississippi ban that we're challenging in our current U.S.
Supreme Court case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization.

This comes at a critical time, and is a monumental step towards
securing access to abortion EVERYWHERE. Join us in calling on the
Senate to take a stand for reproductive rights and to vote YES on
WHPA. It only takes a minute, and every voice counts.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we work to achieve
equitable access to abortion across the United States.

Onward,

Nancy Northup
