friend - your voice is needed
Jim Cooper for Congress

Team,

House Democrats just passed the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would codify the reproductive health care rights that Roe v. Wade established nearly 50 years ago. We want to make Roe v. Wade the law of the land.

This critical legislation is necessary to protect a woman’s right to choose, a right that is being destroyed by the recent Texas law, SB8, that was mistakenly upheld by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Sadly, every single House Republican voted against your right to choose.

The attacks on reproductive health care are coming from all angles. Last year, Tennessee’s Governor Bill Lee signed one of the strictest abortion bans in the country. That law is awaiting a decision from the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

President Biden and a Democratic Congress are stopping the roll-back of our reproductive constitutional rights from Texas-type laws. We are stopping this targeting of women, particularly of low-income women and women of color.

As long as I am in Congress, I will fight to protect women’s health. But I need your help. When Republicans threaten to gerrymander Nashville, they are trying to silence my voice.

The quarterly fundraising deadline is only days away and I need your help. That’s why I’m personally asking, friend. Can I count on you to chip in whatever you’re able to help our campaign before our crucial deadline?

Jim Cooper is a strong voice in Congress for Middle Tennessee and the Biden agenda. He’s fighting for universal affordable health care, voting rights, investments in our communities, and more. But redistricting is coming up and the GOP is threatening to tear the 5th district apart. Will you stand with Jim to protect Nashville's Democratic voice in Congress?
