Earlier this month I wrote to you about the extreme anti-choice law in Texas, and I promised you that the fight for abortion access wasn't over.

Today, I want to talk about the Women's Health Protection Act, a critical part of our plan for fighting for reproductive justice.

The Women's Health Protection Act will enshrine the right to access abortion under the law. It will prohibit bans, mandatory waiting periods, and other restrictions on a person's right to reproductive freedom.

I just proudly cast my vote in favor of this legislation because I fervently believe that personal health care decisions should be made by patients and their doctors. These decisions should not be made by extremist lawmakers in Texas, Arkansas, or any other place.

The truth is nearly 600 abortion restrictions have been introduced in 2021 alone, and 90 have been enacted by state legislatures across the country. That's why we must protect and uphold Roe v. Wade and fight back against laws that get between a person and their doctor.

The Women's Health Protection Act will provide those protections. Will you join me in supporting this critical health care protection legislation by adding your name as a citizen co-sponsor? Join me in the fight to protect reproductive rights.
