John —
Earlier this month, we emailed this community about Julius Jones, a Black man who’s been on death row in Oklahoma for 20 years for the murder of a white man. Despite mounting evidence that could prove his innocence, Julius, who is represented by Dale Baich and Amanda Bass, is at risk of being executed soon.
The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board held a hearing last week and voted 3-1 to recommend to the governor that Julius’ sentence be commuted to life with the possibility of parole. But earlier this week, the State scheduled Julius’s execution for Nov. 18.

It’s now up to Gov. Kevin Stitt to commute Julius’ sentence or continue with his execution. We need as many people as possible to make their voices heard in support of Julius. Contact the governor right now and let him know you want justice for Julius.
This is literally life and death for Julius, so anything you can do is much-needed.
With gratitude for your ongoing support,
— The Innocence Project Team
