John, we're excited to announce that we are looking to hire a development manager to join our growing team. ([link removed])

Immigrants Rising seeks a creative and passionate development manager, with a talent for persuasive writing and long-term relationship-building, to manage and implement fundraising strategies that expand our donor community, strengthen our organization’s visibility, and amplify our community stories. Primary responsibilities include individual donor engagement and communications, balanced equally with institutional/ foundation grant writing, reporting, and research.

Over the past five years, Immigrants Rising has secured over $30 million dollars to support a range of bold initiatives at the intersection of immigrants rights and higher education, entrepreneurship, career development, legal services, mental health, and more. Here are two of our current initiatives:
* Our $14.4 million Catalyst Fund bolsters support for undocumented students at public colleges and universities throughout California.
* Our $5.41 million SEED initiative supports undocumented entrepreneurs in California start or grow their businesses through training, micro-grants, and technical assistance.

This is a unique opportunity for a fundraising, wordsmith, and relationship wiz—who has the heart and values of a community organizer — to be an integral part of our all-star team run by and for undocumented people. ([link removed])

This is our organization’s first-ever development staff position and will be deeply satisfying for someone who is eager to leverage our strong reputation and excellent track record with local, state and national funders, and thrives on creative collaboration, dynamic relationship building, and mission-driven work.

This position will be part of our management team; supported by our communications, technology and operations teams; and closely mentored, supported and supervised by the Executive Director.
