John, I wish I had better news: Senate Republicans have major fundraising momentum right now, closing out August with nearly $15 million more in the bank than Democrats.

Needless to say, watching Senate Republicans break their own fundraising records as we head into a key midterm election is concerning. The more money national Republicans raise, the more they can pour into ad after ad supporting the future GOP Pennsylvania Senate nominee and attacking champions like Val.

And we already know Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate seat is a top target for Republicans — keeping this seat red could help them win back the majority and ensure they can fulfill Donald Trump’s right-wing agenda to restrict reproductive rights and enact nationwide voter suppression laws. Just about every major news outlet is calling this seat a toss-up, so you can bet they’ll spare no expense to hold this seat and take back the Senate.

With just days until our end-of-quarter deadline expires, it couldn’t be more important to make sure our public finance report shows that we have the resources and grassroots momentum to defeat Senate Republicans and send Val to the U.S. Senate to fight for workers and families.
