Statement from Chairman Ben Proto on the Governor's request to extend his emergency powers
Remind Connecticut Dems what the REAL Emergency is in Connecticut

Governor Lamont and the democrat-controlled legislature remain singularly focused on kicking the emergency authorities out for an additional six months, meanwhile Connecticut is burning to the ground.

In addition to the horrendous rise in car thefts, recent headlines have been littered with words we have not seen in years: "Abduction," "Kidnapping," "Stabbing," "Arson." Headlines sounding the warning bells, "Hartford is on track to have the deadliest year in over a decade." These depictions of the jarring rise in crime are commonplace today - and not just in Connecticut's cities - small towns (Essex, Farmington, Marlborough) have also been host to these heinous acts.

It is  it's an absolute failure of the Democrats to come back into special session to extend Governor Lamont's monarch like powers while criminals are running amok from border to border. The policy changes that Hartford Democrats enacted during the height of the pandemic have handcuffed our law enforcement officers and emboldened potential criminals. There is no threat of consequence for people, especially juveniles, and now every Connecticut resident is at risk.

Connecticut Republicans have put together a petition where residents can add their name to remind "King Ned" what is REALLY threatening Connecticut: StopCTCrime.com

Sign the petition and take a stand against the rise in crime. The media is paying attention, it's time for the government to start listening to what is affecting our everyday lives. The safety of your family, community and state depends on the executive and legislative branches working to address the policies that have led us down this dangerous path for the past 18 months.
