Cuellar claims to be a Democrat, but his record tells a different story:
- He’s backed by the NRA, Big Oil, the Koch Network, the private prison industry, and corporate special interests.
- He consistently votes with Republicans — as a matter of fact, he’s voted more than 70% of the time with Donald Trump.
- He worked with 9 other conservative Democrats to try to obstruct President Biden’s budget spending bill that would strengthen and expand Medicare and so much more.
It’s safe to say that South Texans — and our country as a whole — deserve far better than what Henry Cuellar has to offer. And we have a real chance to replace him with a strong progressive like Jessica Cisneros who will fight for working families and their best interests. Not corporations or special interest groups.
