Parking, Fleet and Transport Operations Team Wins Clean Fleet Van Operator of the Year 2021

MTA Award

The Parking, Fleet & Transport Operations Team have won the Clean Fleet Van Operator of the Year in the Motor Transport Awards 2021

It was reward for the team's push towards an electric fleet and the work helping other public sector bodies, individuals and companies do the same through Nottingham Electrical Vehicle Services (NEVS), the ULEV Framework and associated packages of support.

The judges also applauded NCC's key workers for delivering vital services to residents throughout the COVID-19 pandemic in zero emission vehicles - and was described effort as an exemplar to all local authorities.

NCC were the only public sector organisation to be nominated in any category and to win the award, shows how the team is punching above its weight when competing against huge multinationals like UPS and DPD. It is proof of just how innovative the fleet is.

Nottingham Changes to BP Pulse Charging

BP Pulse Charge

The D2N2 electric vehicle charging points that are currently operated by Charge Your Car will soon be moved over to the BP Pulse charging network. This will commence from 27th September 2021. By changing operators, drivers will be provided with the newest technology and the best customer experience.

To be able to access the charging points going forward, all Charge Your Car and D2N2 drivers will be required to register for the BP Pulse app. You can then either charge your vehicle as a guest or sign up to the BP Pulse subscription service. If you choose to utilise the subscription service, you will be sent out a new RFID access card for future use. All D2N2 and Charge Your Car drivers are being contacted by BP Pulse with detailed instructions on switching operators.

During the transition period, it is important to keep both your Charge Your Car access and your new BP Pulse access means. This is because the charging points will be switched using ?over the air technology? and keeping both access methods will ensure you can access charging points throughout the transition period. The charging points should remain operational during the transition.

Once the transition is complete, the charging points will no longer be available on the Charge Your Car network. These will become visible on the BP Pulse map of charging points and can only be accessed using BP Pulse access methods.
