John, Nancy Pelosi, and other unelected bureaucrats want to decide who gets to exercise their First Amendment rights.
Let me explain.
As you may know, we are currently litigating an important case against the U.S. Capitol Police Board for refusing to allow Rev. Patrick Mahoney to host prayer vigil on the Capitol lawn.
But, during the first hearing, the government made a frightening argument to justify their actions.
You see, after we pointed out that the U.S. Capitol Police Board allowed others, including leftist like Rep. Cori Bush, to use the Capitol lawn for First Amendment activity, the government argued that those other events were approved because members of Congress asked that they be approved…
…Regardless of the fact that the lawn surrounding that Capitol, for decades, has been a public forum—open to everyone—for free expression.
But now, YOUR right to free speech and free assembly, outside the Capitol, could be decided by individual members of Congress.
This is an outrage.
And it is a slippery slope.
If the government’s argument prevails, it literally means is that people like Nancy Pelosi, AOC, and members of “The Squad” get to decide whether you get to exercise YOUR 1st amendment rights.
But John, I want to hear your opinion.
Do you think people like Nancy Pelosi, and AOC should be the gatekeepers to your right to free speech and free assembly? The government wants to turn YOUR right to free speech into a game of “Mother May I?”
Whether it’s on social media.
Or on the Capitol lawn.
They want to censor what you’re allowed to say and what you’re allowed to believe.
Because of your support, we’re fighting back.
But we’ll need your help.
Thank you in advance for standing with us in defense of our Constitution.
