Minnesota's mining rules - get ready to weigh in

As a result of a lawsuit we (Northeastern Minnesotans for Wilderness) brought under the Minnesota Environmental Rights Act, the Minnesota DNR will soon begin a public process relating to its nonferrous (copper-nickel) mining rules to determine if they are inadequate to protect the Boundary Waters. The process will include at least one public meeting (likely by zoom) and a comment period - be ready to weigh in!

Last month, the Miami Herald published an in-depth report on the corrupt actions of Antofagasta, the giant mining company behind the proposed Twin Metals mine on the edge of the Boundary Waters. Urge your members of Congress to protect the Boundary Waters today.

Make a weekly difference for the Boundary Waters

Become a Wilderness Warrior, and each week you can expect to #SaveTheBWCA by responding to an action alert put forth by a Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters staffer including: signing petitions, calling elected officials, sharing Campaign messages with individual networks, phone banking supporters, volunteering at events, and more!
