It is not an exaggeration to say we are facing the biggest crisis for reproductive freedom in nearly 50 years.

Earlier this month, the Supreme Court refused to block one of the most heinous abortion bans in the entire country (SB 8), effectively rendering Roe v. Wade meaningless in Texas — giving anti-choice lawmakers in other states a blueprint to enact copycat bills. Within 24 hours of the Court’s refusal to block SB 8, lawmakers in Florida, Arkansas, Indiana, Mississippi, North Dakota, and South Dakota announced their plans to pursue copycat legislation — and the list keeps growing. The dominoes are starting to fall.

Call on your member of Congress to vote YES on the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) and protect reproductive freedom for every body — no matter what state they live in! [[link removed]]

Anti-choice state lawmakers are laser-focused on ending access and the legal right to abortion. In 2021 alone, over 90 restrictions on abortion access have been enacted at the state level.

Simply put, 2021 is the worst year for abortion rights since the landmark 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade .

And now, SB 8 could serve as a blueprint for anti-choice lawmakers across the country looking for yet another way to end access to legal abortion and attack reproductive freedom.

Passing WHPA will safeguard the right to abortion against these kinds of extreme attacks on our reproductive freedom.

There has never been a more important time to act than now. Contact your member of Congress and tell them they MUST pass WHPA before more states move to make Roe v. Wade meaningless! [[link removed]]
