Team,
Just now, we once again asked the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene in
our case challenging a Texas ban on abortion after six weeks of
pregnancy.
The petition was filed by a broad coalition of Texas abortion
providers-led by our client, Whole Woman's Health-along
with abortion funds, doctors, and other organizations, in an attempt
to expedite the case. We've requested that the Court hear our
appeal without waiting for a further ruling from the Fifth Circuit
Court of Appeals.

This ban has now been in effect for 23 days, and it has eliminated
nearly all abortion care in the state.
Texans must now seek out-of-state appointments for this time-sensitive
medical care, causing backlogs in surrounding states like Louisiana
and Oklahoma, and delaying abortion care by weeks for Texans and
non-Texans alike.
The Fifth Circuit has yet to act to address the dire circumstances on
the ground in Texas. We need this case to move as quickly as possible,
that's why we've asked the Supreme Court to step in.
Right now, patients are traveling hundreds of miles to receive the
care that they need. But the reality is, most are unable to travel out
of state, putting abortion care completely out of reach.
With your continued support, we will keep fighting to ensure people
everywhere have the right to make health care decisions without
political interference.

Alliance is doing to provide the care Texans deserve while helping to
fight this law here.
