I wanted to send you a note about my meeting with President Biden.
I was at the White House last night to meet with President Biden about his visionary Build Back Better agenda. It was a constructive conversation, all focused on delivering long-overdue investments in climate action, paid leave, universal child care, pre-K, housing, health care, infrastructure, and more.
I reiterated that progressives will proudly support the President’s entire Build Back Better agenda, but only after we finally pass the bold economic relief and climate action portions of the plan. We will NOT leave those pieces behind.
The ENTIRE package is what President Biden wants, it’s what Democrats want, and it’s what we promised voters when they delivered us the House, the Senate, and the White House.
We are at a crucial tipping point in this fight. Conservative Democrats are pushing to pass portions of our agenda WITHOUT the economic relief and climate change measures progressives are demanding. That means without child care, paid leave, health care, education, and housing. We won’t allow it.
I will continue fighting to deliver for the people — no matter what conservatives, Big Pharma, and corporate America do to try and stop progressive change. If you stand with me at this pivotal moment, can you chip in $3 to fuel my work to pass this bill and deliver on our promises to the people?
Chip in $3 »
It’s important that I had the opportunity to meet with President Biden along with Senator Bernie Sanders and some of my other progressive colleagues.
Corporate America and Big Pharma are having their say through massive campaign contributions and spending on lobbying. But we’re making our voices heard too, and I’m ready to lead progressives to win the FULL Build Back Better agenda.
This is the biggest fight during the Biden presidency between the people and the corporations. They don’t want to see their taxes go up or their fossil fuel profits threatened by much needed change. The people are demanding a better country, and I’ll always fight on the side of the people.
If you’re with me in the fight to secure economic relief and climate action in the Build Back Better Act, can you chip in $3 or whatever you can afford to our campaign today?
In solidarity,
Pramila
