MODERATOR:

The Trump administration has taken a series of measures that have contributed to greater instability and uncertainty in the Middle East, from the “maximum pressure” campaign against Iran to sudden policy shifts in Syria to steps aimed at changing the terms that have guided bipartisan U.S. engagement on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict for decades. Increased tensions with Iran this summer and escalating conflict in Syria this fall have raised concerns about broader regional conflict.

Please join the Center for American Progress for a panel discussion with experts who will analyze the implications of recent U.S. policy shifts and explore possible pathways to ending conflict and reducing tensions in the region.
