Jennifer just voted to avert a government shutdown. If a Republican takes her seat, tens of thousands of federal workers in VA-10 will lose a major champion.

Jennifer Wexton for Congress

Friend,

This week, Jennifer voted to keep the government open. The bill she supported passed the House, but just barely, along party lines. If the GOP gets control of the chamber back, we're going to see dangerous brinkmanship involving government shutdowns.

Too often in our political discourse, we forget the value of our federal workers -- the exact people who stand to lose when Republicans force unnecessary shutdowns.

Federal workers uphold our national security, our transportation, essential services, and our landmarks. They are what makes our country run effectively.

Federal workers are too often demonized by the far right. It was less than two years ago that nearly a million federal workers were furloughed without pay when Donald Trump caused a government shutdown. So it's important that we have elected officials like Jennifer who can always be counted on to be a champion for federal workers.

If Jennifer loses her seat to a right-wing opponent next year, tens of thousands of federal workers in VA-10 will lose a powerful voice in Congress. Can you step up to support Jennifer before her FEC deadline? We're just one week away, and need to raise $10,739 more.
