It has been a true honor to work alongside Congresswoman Lauren Underwood the last few years. She is one of the most inspiring people I’ve met in these halls. And she’s gotten seven pieces of legislation signed into law in just two and a half years. That’s unheard of!
What inspires me the most about Lauren dates back to when she first decided to run. Lauren was so fired up and fed up with her former Congressman’s inaction that she decided to launch her campaign for Congress in a tough district.
But after her stunning victories in 2018 and 2020, we now know that Lauren Underwood builds the kinds of coalitions we need to win, not just in 2022, but beyond.
That type of determination is exactly what we need a whole lot more of in Washington. But she’s got another uphill battle in 2022 as one of the only toss up districts in the country.
