Friends,
Last night, I was part of a group of immigrant allies who camped outside the Capitol to make our demands to Senate Democrats known: now is the time to deliver a pathway to citizenship for millions of immigrant youth, TPS holders, farmworkers, and essential workers.
We camped out 11 hours for the 11 million people waiting for Democrats to deliver a pathway to citizenship. Allies travelled from all over the country to join us — our coalition outside the Capitol included undocumented young people from Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Texas, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
Staying overnight in the rain wasn’t easy, but here’s why we did it: millions are waiting for action and the time for citizenship is now — we can’t let Democrats forget that.
Grassroots donations from people like you fuel advocacy efforts like last night’s. Will you chip in a donation to help us keep the pressure on Democrats to deliver for our community?

In the wake of the Senate Parliamentarian’s recommendation advising against including a pathway to citizenship in the reconciliation bill, United We Dream Action is reminding Democrats they hold all the power and have a moral obligation to deliver citizenship for millions.
Democrats have no excuses — they hold all the power in Congress and were given a mandate by voters in 2020 to lead boldly and improve the lives of millions.
The disappointing recommendation from the unelected Senate Parliamentarian is NOT binding and shouldn’t stand in the way of Sen. Schumer and Senate Democrats from finishing what they started and legislating a pathway to citizenship for millions.
We have been building up momentum for our cause all week culminating in camping out last night just outside the steps of Congress, but now we need your help to keep the pressure on Democrats in this critical moment.
Make a contribution today and help fund more of United We Dream Action’s advocacy efforts to ensure that a pathway to citizenship remains in the Senate’s reconciliation bill:
