This is outrageous:
Henry Cuellar justified the horrific mistreatment of Haitian asylum-seekers on live television — not once, not twice, but three different times.
He is out of touch with the reality of what is actually happening at the border and is standing in the way of addressing the inhumane treatment of immigrants and asylum-seekers.
Cuellar has sided with Republicans to further militarize border communities and push back against immigrant rights in Congress. In fact, he voted to fund Donald Trump’s wall twice.
Enough is enough. That’s why I’m running for Congress. Because as an immigration attorney and daughter of Mexican immigrants who grew up on the border, I know firsthand the value of immigrants in this country and how powerful our dreams are. I’m ready to fight hard for those in my community and across the country by creating humane policy rooted in compassion.

Cuellar has spent years creating a “fake border crisis”, undermining any attempts to create meaningful progress on granting a pathway to citizenship. He has put Republican interests before the needs of those who live along the border and in our district for far too long.
We must make bold changes to our immigration system — but Cuellar is standing in the way of making progress. South Texas deserves a real Democrat who will protect and build legislation to create a just and humane immigration system in Congress. But last time, super PACs and corporate interests flooded into our race to protect Henry Cuellar’s seat. So we need a strong base of grassroots supporters by our side.
