This fall, it’s more important than ever that Congress pass the Judiciary Act of 2021 to restore balance to our judiciary.

John,
Both chambers of Congress officially returned from their summer recess this week — with little time left on the legislative calendar for the rest of this year, now’s the time to increase the pressure on our lawmakers to expand and restore the stolen Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, the conservatives on the Court have made it abundantly clear these past few weeks that they are on a crusade to hurt the most vulnerable among us at every opportunity. The only way to stop these right-wing extremists from riding roughshod over our rights and our democracy is to expand the Court.
We have no time to waste, so will you join the growing list of champions in Congress, the 80+ advocacy organizations nationwide, and countless other supporters like you in calling on lawmakers to reverse the Republican theft of the Supreme Court today?
The Judiciary Act of 2021 would add 4 seats to the Supreme Court — immediately unpacking the stolen Court. This bill is crucial to helping us restore our democracy and allowing us to tackle urgent national challenges like reproductive freedom, climate change, racial justice, voting rights, access to health care, and more.
Less than a year after Republicans stole two Supreme Court seats to establish a 6-3 conservative supermajority, our worst fears have come true. These 6 unelected, far-right judges have further gutted the Voting Rights Act, enabled Texas to ban virtually all abortions in the state, and resurrected inhumane Trump-era immigration policies–all while routinely issuing decisions siding with corporate interests and Republican Party donors over working families.
But the Court did not get to this historically dangerous point by accident — Republicans have spent decades working to take over our judiciary, with the goal of cementing their minoritarian rule, and they’ve succeeded thus far. Republicans stole a Supreme Court seat — TWICE — giving themselves a supermajority that is completely out of step with the majority of Americans.
Lucky for us there’s a simple solution to this crisis: Congress has the Constitutional right and responsibility to add seats to the Court. Will you use your voice to urge Congress to act now?
Thank you for using your voice today,
