It’s finally here! Early voting has officially begun in Virginia. This is where the rubber meets the road: after months of identifying and persuading voters, now it’s time to get them to the polls.

The hard truth is this: there is a very real chance that Democrats might lose in Virginia. The GOP is dumping millions of dollars into the state, aimed at taking back the House of Delegates and the Governorship. After Trump’s loss, Republicans are energized and laser-focused on banning abortion, rolling back voting rights, and taking healthcare away from half a million Virginians.

That’s why it is critical to kick our Get Out the Vote program into high gear right now. A generous volunteer from Lafayette, CA knows the stakes are high, and has stepped up to match every dollar you donate up to $15,000 until September 30.

With redistricting on the table and Roe v. Wade likely to be overturned next year, we can’t allow the GOP to regain power in Virginia. But recent polling has shown troubling indications that they might do just that.
