Friends - Here's the latest: we're working hard to raise the resources we need to win the runoff election on Nov. 16, and our team has been setting critical fundraising goals. Hitting these numbers means we stay on track. When we fall short, it means having to make difficult decisions about our resources. Right now, we're still a bit short.

Listen, having to ask you to contribute to this campaign is one of my least favorite parts of my job. But, the truth is that we have an election to win, and we can't do that if we don't hit these goals. It's the only way we're going to keep Louisiana moving forward. I know we've been asking you a lot, and I know you've been getting a lot of these emails, but this how we make up the ground we need. We're looking for another 75 people to pitch in right now.

Your grassroots donations are vital to this campaign. They help us turn out voters, run ads and get our message out. All of this is pivotal if we're going to win on Nov. 16. And right now, my opponent has the backing of national Republican interests who are funneling in millions to defeat me here in Louisiana.
