Last night we held a special Stand with Chesa Volunteer call, where volunteers from around the country heard important action steps we need to take to stop the anti-justice recall of San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin.
Special guest speaker Shaun King broke down the stakes of a potential recall — how it could cost taxpayers millions of dollars and set back years of progress towards justice we have made with Chesa in office — and got our team to work right away spreading the truth about Chesa’s good work to stop the misinformation coming from conservative billionaires and special interests.

The truth is, we’re up against a huge smear campaign being mounted by billionaire donors and right-wing PAC’s, all so that these wealthy and powerful special interests can buy the election results they want.
It’s undemocratic and it threatens to waste millions of taxpayer dollars. But we can’t stop it unless we all use our voices to share the truth about Chesa and his dedication to real justice.
Chesa has worked overtime, despite opposition from police groups and the ongoing pandemic, to make San Francisco more just for all and center real public safety issues like police brutality, housing and mental health, and gun violence.
It will take all of us sharing this message and standing with Chesa online and in our communities to stop this anti-justice recall effort. That’s why this week of action is so important and why we need your help now!
