President Biden addressed the UN yesterday and said that this is the first time in 20 years the US is not at war. He also said he isn't seeking a cold war with China. He lied. On Both counts. The US is still at war in Syria and Iraq, just supported a coup in Guinea, and is still supporting the Saudi genocide of Yemenis. The US also has been pushing anti-China talking points for the last year, funding Uyghur separatists inside of China and just made an anti-China alliance with the UK and Australia they're calling AUKUS. Using soothing words that make people stop paying attention while conducting crimes against humanity is the standard MO of mainstream Democrats. It has been that way for decades. But you wouldn't know that if you only watch state affiliated propaganda like MSNBC or CNN.

Joe Biden is gaslighting everyone. He talks as if stopping the climate crisis is something that's a priority to him, because THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR, but he has refused to stop the Line 3 pipeline despite Indigenous protesters, who are concerned about the water supply for tens of millions of people, he has refused to ban fracking and has put forward a climate plan which almost certainly will mean human extinction. And yet elected Democrats are refusing to push him on it, because they only seem to fight for what's right when Republicans are in office.

Our Congressperson is the exact same. He talks about climate change, but his only answer has been tax breaks and nature preserves. Meanwhile, he's voted to approve US fracking projects in Europe and continues to support military expansionism even though there is no possible way to stop the crisis without scaling back the military. You can guess why- high dollar donations from Lockheed Martin, Honeywell, Raytheon, L3 Technologies, Boeing, GE, Northrup Grumann, General Dynamics, Cummins, Aerojet and Orbital Attack. If you donate to him, or vote for him, you are condoning corruption.

If you live in our district and are paying attention, you can plainly see that Congressperson Mike Thompson hasn't done a thing to protect renters, hasn't even mentioned the coming eviction crisis or the eviction moratorium (which was ended by the Supreme Court) but he's VERY concerned about wealthy vineyard owners. He has made it obvious for all to see where his interests lie- with big money donors and not the voters.
