Ever since Donald Trump’s hand-picked candidate Glenn Youngkin entered the Virginia Governor’s race, he’s outraised and outspent Terry thanks to the million dollar checks he’s written to his own campaign.

In a race as tight as this one, that could spell disaster for Democrats.

I don’t need to remind you that not only have the polls shown that this race is a statistical tie — not only is history against the Democrats in this one — but everyone from top analysts at Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight to Virginia elections guru Larry Sabato say that this will be the most competitive race of 2021.

Republicans are desperate for a win after the shellacking we gave them in 2020, and the Virginia Governor’s race is their best chance to pick up a high profile victory.
